Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre

Mackay Entertainment Centre recently installed our 21 Watt Par 38 flood lights in their lobby and concourse areas. Shane Loman, Head of Lighting for the Centre is an early adopter of LED technology and has already converted much of their theatrical and colour change lighting to LED. He is very keen to convert the rest of the centre’s traditional inefficient white lamps over to more sustainable, energy saving lamps.

Shane says “apart from the obvious savings from lower energy consumption, one of the key benefits of LED lighting is their extended lifespan. Much of our lighting is installed in ceilings over 6 metres in height so changing out expired lamps is a major task and inconvenience”.

Eo Lighting’s affiliated company Eo Design has recently successfully completed the design and installation of audiovisual equipment for the new extensions to the Mackay Entertainment Centre which opened on the 11th July.
